Midnight Riot (Rivers of London #1) by Ben Aaronovitch

This series has been on my radar for a long time, thanks to some people I follow online (thanks Tumblr!) who love the books. But it was not easy for me to track down the first book, because I didn’t realize that it got re-titled for the American release – so I spent a good amount of time wondering why on earth my library didn’t have a copy of Rivers of London (which is a much better title anyway, I don’t know why they changed it). But it was worth the effort.

The Plot by Jean Hanff Korelitz

Sometimes you just gotta treat yourself to a good Bandwagon Book.

I noticed The Plot making the rounds on Book Twitter a few months ago, and it had gotten positive reviews from several people whose opinions I really respect and (usually) agree with – and, for an additional point in its favor, the library waitlist for this novel was over two hundred people.
